Waverly Utilities is a municipally owned electric utility serving more than 4,600 customers in and around Waverly. In 2016, Waverly Utilities expanded their services to include a telecommunications utility providing Internet, cable TV and telephone services to the Waverly community.
Waverly has one of Iowa’s first 10-Gigabit municipal networks offering ultra-fast 10Gb Internet to businesses and 1Gb Internet to residences. Waverly is proud to have a municipally owned utility that is committed to clean renewable energy. Waverly Utilities was the first municipal wind generator in Iowa, producing 2.7 megawatts of clean energy to help power the community.
