Your home for information, recreation and community.

The Waverly Public Library is a place where people love to be. Spend time in a comfy chair as natural light floods in through magnificent windows. The high ceiling and clearstory above give an airy and open feeling to the space. Outside, you can walk through the landscaped butterfly gardens or sit and listen to the running water of the koi pond while enjoying the surrounding scenery.

Library staff have made being friendly and helpful a priority. They are always happy to help with book recommendations, research, local history, technology, and use of any of our online services.

Meeting rooms and study rooms are available for community use and can be reserved at no cost. These spaces are frequently used for birthdays, board games, interviews, test-taking, trainings and more. There are spaces in the library for all ages, including a children’s area with toys and activities, a teen area with cafe-style seating, and a reading and study corner for those seeking quiet.

Every week the Children’s Librarian prepares storytime programs for babies up to preschoolers at the library, and staff members also visit local daycare providers and preschools on a regular basis. Librarians also plan a variety of fun events for all ages to experience, including a hugely popular Summer Reading Program, themed literary parties, holiday celebrations, regular trivia and crafting nights, book clubs, and more.

People come to the Waverly Public Library for as many reasons as there are days in the year. Whether you want to stop in at the Library in the morning and enjoy coffee while reading the newspaper and preview the latest best seller, or whether you’d like to attend any of the popular events for families, children, teens, or adults, there is always something to inspire you at the Waverly Public Library.
