The “W” at Wartburg College is Waverly’s hub for indoor aquatics and recreation.
Enjoy lap swimming, unwind in the hot tub, or take part in recreational swimming with zero-depth entry. Additional amenities include a vortex pool, sauna, and steam room. The Schuldt Natatorium, located within the “W,” hosts a variety of aquatic programs, events, and activities throughout the year.
The outdoor pool at Memorial Park is currently under construction and is planned to reopen in Summer 2026.

Waverly Outdoor Swimming Pool - Coming Summer 2026
The new outdoor pool will feature a new bathhouse, family restrooms, zero depth entry, slides, diving board, basketball hoop, lap swim area, shade structures, detached splash pad and more! It will be staffed with certified lifeguards, so that families can enjoy the outdoor pool - whether they are lap swimming, sun bathing, or having an evening pool party.

Parks
Take a stroll through nearly any neighborhood in Waverly and you will find a lovely place to play. There are 21 parks scattered throughout the community. Every park is well maintained with beautiful landscaping and plenty of places to stop and rest. Twelve parks provide playground equipment for children of all ages.
